The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. Nampa Bulldogs Varsity collected 12 hits and Kuna had 11.

Nampa Bulldogs Varsity took an early lead in the first inning when Nampa Bulldogs Varsity scored on a stolen base during Fernando Pina’s at bat. Then Pina singled , driving in one.

Kuna knotted the game up at four in the top of the second inning. Cobb singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Nampa Bulldogs Varsity took the lead for good with one run in the third inning. In the third Jonas Plew singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Kuna scored four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Kuna came thanks to singles by Newman and Bunn, a walk by Haws, and an error on a ball put in play by Cobb.

Braden Stauffer earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Nampa Bulldogs Varsity. He allowed nine hits and eight runs over six innings, striking out four. Cameron Waite threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Waite recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Nampa Bulldogs Varsity.

Bunn took the loss for Kuna. He lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and seven runs while striking out one.

Nampa Bulldogs Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Pina, Plew, Alex Bernal, Caleb Carlson, and Kobe Wells each collected multiple hits for Nampa Bulldogs Varsity. Wells, Carlson, Bernal, Plew, and Pina each collected two hits to lead Nampa Bulldogs Varsity.

Kuna racked up 11 hits on the day. Bunn, Brandon Hernandez, Newman, and Colton Croft each managed multiple hits for Kuna. Bunn went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Kuna in hits. Kuna tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Bunn led the way with two.
